Committee
Member - works within the committee seeking to respond to and
coordinate the parish initiatives in faith development and lifelong
education by assessing and evaluating current efforts and assisting staff
to develop new initiatives. CF is one of 8 Standing Committees which meet
once each month and send a voting representative to the Pastoral Council.

Team
Member - assists leaders as requested.
BABYSITTING/CHILD CARE

Coordinator
- schedules and supervises child care program during the
10:30am Mass on Sundays; assists with scheduling child care for various
other church activities as needed (especially the Regional Retreat).
Adult Volunteer -
provides child care during the 10:30am Mass and during other church
activities as needed.
Teen
Volunteer - provides child care during the 10:30am Mass and
during other church activities as needed.
BIANNUAL SERVICE MISSION
Adult
Project Coordinators - work with the ministry team using
whatever skills and expertise they possess (e.g., gardening or
construction) to design outreach projects to help the poor and others
within and around our community; coordinators provide plans and tools to
accomplish the project and work with teens to see the project through.
This evolving ministry takes little more than a week, but is intensive,
and requires commitment.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD (Sue Flanagan)
Presider
- leads children up to 5th grade in praying and
reading Scripture, and helping them to understand God’s Word and apply
it to their lives (10:30 Mass on Sundays throughout the year).
Cantor
- leads youth in Responsorial Psalm and other songs during
Children’s Liturgy of the Word.
Monitor
- helps presider as requested during Children’s Liturgy of
the Word. Monitors are usually adults or youth older than 5th
grade.
Whole
Community Catechesis (Billie
Warner)
Teacher/Catechist
- leads Formation and Education break out sessions with grade
school students in Pre-k-5th grade. Training is available, so
commitment, respect for children and love of God, is the criteria along
with being 21 years of age or older.
Teacher’s Aide -
assists the Catechist is helping children during the session. Adults
and teens are welcome.
Liaison
to CF Committee - is a Catechist who connects the CF projects
to the needs of all Catechists, working to ensure communication and
support for this ministry and its ministers.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
Baptism
Prep Team Member (Chris and Lynn Fisher) - is an
individual or couple willing to work in teams to provide Baptism
preparation for parents of newborn children. Duties include scheduling
Baptisms, as well as assisting with Baptisms when needed. Team members
need not be parents.
Confirmation
Team Member - is a volunteer who
works on the team preparing youth to receive the Sacrament of
Confirmation. Since SEAS is a Restored Order community, this team works
closely with the Eucharist Team.
(There are three Sacraments which establish full Initiation into the
Catholic Church: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, in that order. They
follow the Catholic Rite, and the restored order of celebrating the
Sacraments reclaims the focus of each Sacrament and the original rite.)
Eucharist
Team Member - is a volunteer who
works on the team preparing youth to receive the Sacrament of First
Eucharist. Since SEAS is a Restored Order community, this team works
closely with the Confirmation Team.

Catholic Church: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, in that order. They
follow the Catholic Rite, and the restored order of celebrating the

Marriage
Prep Team Members (Chris and Lynn Fisher) - are
married couples willing to work as a team to provide preparation (Pre-Cana)
for engaged couples preparing for marriage. Currently, Pre-Cana is offered
twice each year.
RCIA
Team Member (Bill Beiter, Carolyn Beiter) - offers spiritual
guidance and instruction to adults and children through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, primarily working with those
who are unbaptized or uncatechized in their journey to become Catholic.
Reconciliation
Team Member (Tracey Traino) - is a volunteer who
works on the team preparing youth for celebration of the sacrament of
Reconciliation.
YOUTH GROUPS
Junior
High Team (Lisa O'Brien) - is an adult or young
adult who meets biweekly during the school year with the Junior High Youth
Group, offering our young people a youth ministry session which meets both
the diocesan criteria for Catechesis for youth in 6th -8th
grades, and follows the comprehensive youth ministry model, which is
creative and energetic ministry to, with, by, and for all youth.
Senior
High Team (Lisa O'Brien) - is an adult or young
adult who meets weekly year round with the Senior High Youth Group,
offering our young people a youth ministry session which meets both the
diocesan criteria for Catechesis for teens in 9th - 12th
grades, and follows the comprehensive youth ministry model, which is
creative and energetic ministry to, with, by, and for all youth.
